I’ve had a range of titles from UX lead, Experience Lead, UX Manager, Senior UX Designer, Information Architect etcetera but what I do is:
- Discover customer and business needs/wants with different techniques.
- Help create a shared, validated vision for a product/feature/interaction/service.
- Work with product and developer allies to make things real
- Mentor and lead people to help them do their best work

Some time ago, a friend and colleague of mine was a participant in a series of day-long product strategy workshops.
When I asked what she had learned, she said “only this” and passed on a UX super-skill. I will now share this with you.
